Mark my words, the military will overthrow local government, someplace. The administration will declare the city “failed,” and appoint a private corporation to govern.

This already sort of happened in Texas where the state claimed that cities like Houston had “failed school systems” then appointed right wing toadies to run the district. In several schools they eliminated libraries, replacing them with Discipline Centers. They also make life hell for teachers or just fire them outright and replace them with unqualified ideologues.

The Republicans will definitely use that same process to deprive state and local governments of their autonomy.

A corporation? California will be renamed, “Kirkland” or “Wal-World”, and we’ll all have to get new drivers licenses.

Just an FYI, all 3 judges, including a democrat judge, voted in favor of this. The POTUS has the right to deploy the National Guard to a city if that city’s federal buildings and/or law enforcement are under attack.

Common sense tells me that no one was killed before the Ng showed up, no police force asked the Gov for assistance, and there are bigger emergencies in regard to property and loss of life that Trump’s admin has decided not to provide assistance for.

Trump just wants to swing his military like a big, prostatic penis so we can all see what a big man he is.

ICE agents were being attacked. California police didn’t want to help. Trump not only have the right but also obligation to use the national guard to protect the ICE agents.

Being attacked? You know just a private citizen one on one can be attacked, but that doesn’t mean that lethal force is warranted. If ice agents were being yelled at and people were throwing tomatoes at them I would not consider that grounds for national guard involvement. And to be honest, unless you’ve got people shooting at ice agents I don’t even know that I would help even if I was the local police. I would expect federal officers to support their own assets in the field. So let’s get some context here who was injured how many and what kind of injuries did they sustain?

I think it’s interesting that on January 6 our nations capital was under attack and nobody thought the national guard was needed at that point…

. “Just following orders” is bullshit. Just because trump won dosent make every thing he says legal. Deporting people without due process is not legal.

Correct, it doesn’t make everything he does legal. It can be challenged in court. In this case, the Appeal Court has unanimously ruled in favor of Trump.

Trump needs to be in jail too.

The only true thing in this post is that it’s unethical. Leftists actively want them to be paid better, given more rights and receive Healthcare to improve their lives. Republicans want to take everything from them and ship them off to random countries. Are you okay with the fact that Trump wanted to send these people to countries in Africa?

Acknowledging the fact that our agricultural system would collapse without them is not in any way, shape or form an acceptance of their conditions. If you actually care about them as much as you’re pretending to, ask yourself why the current administration is going after the exploited workers while doing NOTHING to those who are exploiting them. Does that not seem odd to you?

And that’s not even touching the absolutely braindead take that the left were the ones in favor of slavery. You have no idea what you’re talking about and are just parroting what you’re told to think by right wing influencers. Not only is it sad, but it’s a clear-cut demonstration of everything that’s wrong with the US. Facts don’t matter, reality doesn’t matter, you feel good destroying people’s lives and you refuse to let the truth impede that.

Sending in the national guard is ONLY legal if the governor asks for it.

Newsom was actively opposed the entire time. It was blatantly illegal, comically so.

Nobody cares how much you dislike Newsom or California, that’s not how the law works.
