I think these are going to be far bigger than planned. Trumps lil’ crackdown in LA put a spotlight on it. Trumps obviously in the wrong. I would expect these to be 10-15 x bigger than the hands off protests.

Some neighbor had a parrot get out a few weeks ago. Parrots name was Rascal. So Rascal set up shop in the Mango tree next to my house. Which was. Then his owner, an older lady, she finally found him, and stood outside of my house all day for like, 3 fucking days yelling “RASCAL!! You get down from there Rascal!!”. Like 8AM to 6PM practically, the lady just yelling “RASCAL!! RASCAL YOU GET DOWN FROM THERE!!”

And Rascal just stayed up there, kinda chuckling to themselves.

Eventually they were able to coax Rascal home I suppose. But man. That owner was super annoying.

Your literal response is why I think you have no conception of what works in terms of politics. Your framework was WRONG. It didn’t predict things. The people you rely on for their “popular wisdon”: They GOT IT WRONG!!

Chuck Schumer ABSOLUTELY needs to be primaried, and if Hogg had been able to say that, citing the basically infinite series of failures that Schumer has represented, Hogg would have won this fight.

This is politics; Democrats are literally the least popular they’ve ever been, and Hogg was willing to speak to that: thats how you make political hay. What Hogg did was the first step in the dance you do to change peoples minds. It was politically savvy to pick up on that and move on it. But he had no follow up. He got a great first punch in, and had no gas for round two. He fumbled on the second step.

He’s extremely off putting and unlikable.

I mean, I don’t think thats even relevant and I think people that use that as a basis for decision making should be ignored. That level of analysis is basically hand wringing, and I could really give a shit if any one like the presentation. Hogg started by saying the right thing. Conservative/ Blue-Dog/ Blue-MAGA Democrats need to be primaried and ejected from the party.

But when pushed, Hogg’s actual analysis was completely lacking. He couldn’t answer “Which Democrats should be primaried?” or “Who are the good Democrats are?”. When he did answer those question, the answers were fucking stupid and he was obviously a bit shook and hadn’t thought through what the answer should be.

He should have taken the message to some friendly leftist media outlets and fucking work shopped it so he was more prepared to answer those really obvious question.

I think a corollary would be the Euromaidan/ Maidan protests of 2014. The US has been utterly corrupted by fascist ideology through distributed and targeted propaganda campaigns coming out of, guess who, Russia.

At any rate, I have a feeling the situation in the US is entering a make or break phase. Good luck and courage to all sane Americans.

I think we’re just getting started. Two things: one, that the US military police state has an extreme propensity for violence; and two the American people are slow to move, but once motivated to act, tend to also escalate with additional force. We’re entering a protests get met with force, protests expand, become more extreme fly wheel. People on the right have been propagandized to for decades to prepare for “war” against their fellow citizens. And I mean that in no uncertain terms. This is a propaganda effort that’s been in effect for decades.

You may not like it but this is what peak uh… performance …looks like.
