It is clear that the police are trigger happy. Armed forces are trained to kill hostiles not calm civil unrest or protect constitutional rights. Trump has opted to deploy marines as well, which are going to be very young. This is all a recipe for disaster.

In my original comment I have included a video tutorial and demonstration for a low budget, thin, light, yet highly effective bullet proof armor plate. If you are going to demonstrations in areas where the military has been deployed, make sure you protect yourself. This is even more important for those acting as medics since they quickly become prime targets in situations like this.

There are differences but I wouldn’t use terms like “liberal” although those who chose to join the Marines due tend to have a particular stereotype.

You might want to edit your post to read “armed forces” rather than army. The United States armed forces include Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, Space Force (LOL), and the National Guard. I apologize if I left anyone out.
