eh people always point to German but they just use compound words more often. if you know the parts that make up the word it shouldn’t be hard to parse.

what an interesting looking Tesla
agreed. plus everything can be funny if you just translate it word for word, even though in almost all languages the meaning for the original words barely cross people’s minds when they use compound words.
eg:
German: Kamin
French: Cheminée
Spanish: Chimenea
English: FIREPLACE!

you’re not complaining about “design trends”, you’re complaining about capitalism.
everything is touchscreen because it’s cheaper than mechanical buttons.
all products looks the same because 1. it’s cheaper 2. mass appeal is more profitable than niche, and 3. it’s risk free
everything’s an app because they can collect data, push notifications, and force you into closed ecosystems.
laptops are thin because they probably sell more as a lot of people prioritize lightweight and less bulky laptops to carry them around easier. phones are going the other way but when you’re talking laptops it’s kilograms rather than grams so the difference is more important.
finally rounded corners are probably a design trend, although i am generally in favor of them.
liberal is center right; and liberalism completely fine with authority, maybe less with authoritarianism per se, but that’s what the “inevitably leads to” part is about. an anti-authoritarian but pro-authority stance will inevitably lead to authoritarianism. just like how cops and military keep getting more and more ridiculous funding despite not demonstrating anything of worth that they contribute to society.

edit: you don’t need to make distinguishing marks on their clothes when they’re already wearing the swastika armband. “oh please don’t mistreat the fascists, that makes you a fascist!”
still pretty tough to beat the fries. I’d say this is a close second.
