And for some (including me) that’s our only computer (other than phone). I just can’t afford anything, so all I have is a shitty laptop from 2010 that barely plays 1080p video. I deeply want something better, especially a steam deck, but doesn’t look like that’ll happen anytime soon (or ever). I’m on long-term term sick leave and stuck in my apartment and broke 95% of the time, gaming is basically the only thing I can do.

You don’t need to get just new games. Do what a ton of people do: wait till they’re on sale. There is literally no hurry, wait till any game reaches the price point you think its worth. And then you get the best possible version of the game, both in terms of patches, most of the time with DLC included and the modding community has had time to make stuff (if that’s relevant).

And it’s an even better experience to emulate too, you get lots of options for the same or better performance, resolution, better than default graphics options, mods etc.

Yep, I exclusively play games with a controller and have wanted to play Satisfactory for years. Started playing yesterday and I’m already hooked. I’ll say that the controller support isn’t perfect, there are a few minor annoyances but nothing that’s bad enough to make me not recommend it.

It never stops being so fucking cringe that Americans just can’t stop putting their flag on every square inch of everywhere. Its always been cringe but it’s even worse now.
