For the fighting game nerds out there: an interview on IGN confirmed that there are KI breakers during active tags, and combos will be limited in similar ways to Killer Instinct, meaning a combo meter rather than hitstun decay. If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry about it; this comment wasn’t for you. These were the answers I was looking for, and now this is my most anticipated fighting game despite having no familiarity with the source material.
vs who? VS WHO?
Versus an increasingly crowded market of new fighting games.
I don’t know anyone that plays fighting games. Who keeps buying these?
The FGC?
Who?
Oof. Marvel Tokon was just revealed three days ago, and is being made by a developer that everyone already knows and loves. This has to be the most unfortunate timing I’ve ever seen.
Edit: OK I spoke too soon… apparently the people who worked on Killer Instinct are working on this. This could be good. Still going to be less hyped than a new Marvel fighting game, though.
Both of them being tag team fighters too isn’t doing the comparison any favors. I’m sure the invincible IP will carry this at least a little though.
