Hello m@tes. I have immigrated from lemm.ee following the imminent closure, (and needed to but ana in front of my name because the one I used on lemm.ee was taken.)

Here is just a small thing I made after skimming the comments of a recent popular post. As it is a small image and I’m getting better with Krita this one only took ~35 minutes. Improvements. Yay!

That write up is much more than just “don’t vote.” It’s about fully withdrawing from the system and rejecting citizenship, including all of the things that come with it, like paying taxes and owning private property.

If someone pays taxes, legitimizes the government, and also doesn’t vote… Then that’s likely the worst of both worlds from the author’s perspective.

The state does not care if you participate.

There is no amount of turnout so low that the people with power will go “welp our power isn’t legitimate anymore”

Every good thing the government ever gave you, they gave you because either someone else did it first, the government killed them, and they knew there would be riots if they didnt put a half assed replacement in place

Or because they had literal guns to their head, and their first few attempts to kill people olding them didnt work.

That’s not what anarchists are aiming at all. The point is to put all the effort going into electoral politics, into prefiguration instead. And that is not just enough to delegitimize the state, but to collapse capitalism itself.

I meet with an anarchist group and do mutual aid making food to give out once a week. I vote once a year maybe. Idk why it’s that hard to do both. It’s 52 times 6 hours doing mutual aid vs like 30 minutes at an early voting station. Idk why people can’t walk and chew gum, the voting is effortless compared to the mutual aid

Because election is not just once you going to vote. There’s an immense voting apparatus which burns millions of volunteer work hours, civic goodwill and mental health. I swear people are incapable of seeing the forest for the trees on this issue.

Listen, if you can find a local politician that listens, that wants to court the movement, that isn’t allergic to accountability, that is actually literate in that field even as they want to participate, that isn’t bought?

You’ve found a mythical creature. You may as well try to do fantastical things like convince Anarchists to vote.

Other than that? Meh, its casual. Maybe spend an hour in line talking to voters about what they really care about, and loudly complain that no party is addressing the real concerns like Ghost Jobs or Wage Theft. Invite the silly vote-enjoyers to go make sandwiches.

    Or don’t.

Just don’t pretend voting (or not) means that much. Go actually do the Mutual Aid.

You don’t choose your ruler. You choose from a pre approved list what style of boot the oligarchy puts on your neck. And even then you’re only the tie breaker.

Personally; i care about style, but if you don’t, it really doesn’t matter.

Edit: sorry, forgot about foot guys. I know that’s a common kink. I guess it matters to them, too. Are you a foot guy? That’s okay, but maybe don’t insist i should share your kink.
