Take a nice doughy everything bagel from a place with bagel in the name. Cut it in half, toast it, Fry a couple slices of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese and throw them in, a couple of strips of bacon lettuce and very finely sliced tomato. Salt and pepper, maybe light mayo.

IMO, The best donut in existence has nothing on that.

  • I just went and reviewed your responses that I downvoted from that thread, and I reversed two because they were unfair.

Honestly, the rest, you’re just dying on this hill to die on it. You’re swearing on things that you have been told and aren’t listening to anyone or any physics, your comments aren’t doing anyone any good here and a number of them appear to be guesses you’ve made on the assumption that it must have happened to someone somewhere, regardless of the odds.

Should someone put rocks on their dashboard (which was btw probably a joke by op) no. It’s is going to turn them into bullets and blind you and your passengers or kill some innocent bystanders? no.

  • Decades ago, I knew a person that was in a group of swingers. What she said rang true then as it does today. She said, they’re tons of people out there for everyone, It’s just usually not the people that they want to be with.

Everybody’s punching up. Evolutionary pressure makes us want to find the best mate and only accept advantageous proposals.

  • Clean is a misnomer. We’re covered in bacteria and filled with bacteria. The air around us is thick with yeast. The second you wash any pan it is immediately reinnoculated with stuff around it. If you throw the concepts of brewing and canning at clean and you’ll find that nothing that we have is clean.

The bar for cookware is safe and doesn’t impart bad flavors to the food.

But this isn’t to say that you should or have to use it, But you ask why the rest of us do, It’s because it’s as clean as is necessary to cook great safe food.

  • The rocks are in the same frame of references the passengers. The only difference is they’re not seat belted in so there is room for some small differences in acceleration.

If your car is doing 50 the rocks are doing 50 and then do have a fair amount of inertia compared to the outside world, but everything in the car has that same inertia. That two-ton automobile is the actual danger.

Absolute worst case those rocks aren’t seeing any more than a couple of G, let’s say you max out at around 3G which would be a little bit intense for car related escapades. The rock hitting you in the backseat would be like maybe it falling a dozen feet and landing on you absolute worst case.

Now, if you didn’t have a windscreen, and you hit a stone wall that stopped you immediately The rocks would have a 50 mph variance to the wall. But, honestly, 50 mph on a rock is not really significant. Baseball pitchers double that.

You could try to argue that hitting another oncoming car would give them a 100 mph variance. But at that point the rocks aren’t the problem the hundred mile an hour variance between the two multi-ton cars is more than enough.

The old wise tale that putting things on your dash turn them into dangerous high speed projectiles is false.

I think if you were looking for a solid argument of them being a bad idea, they will easily roll off your dash, get under your feet and would have a much better chance of interfering with your pedals.

Yeah, the surface area and buoyancy are serious. The lift is well balanced and designed not to tip over on a very small base.

I think, unless they’ve got some decent magic trick the biggest worry would be getting it on there in the first place. Maybe they crain it on there…
