help-circle

  • In my high school they were passing people who were functionally illiterate to keep funding up. It was pretty much assumed those kids were a lost cause so they never got any extra help either. School would just look the other way as someone was lost in the cracks and passed on paper. The very rare ones that did manage to get extra help would take tests in a different room and it was well known the aids would just give them answers if they took too long. Everyone hated it especially the kids being passed through. They got ostracized for “having it easy” while also being frustrated they’re spending all day being told to focus on stuff they don’t understand and aren’t getting real help with

  • Probably depends on who you ask. I’m polyamorous and I think in almost all cases where someone says polygamy and not polyamory they’re engaging in an immoral power dynamic. My experience being poly though I’d say most people take offense to the multiple partners thing and polygamy is just what they’re familiar with as a concept

Right off the bat, this is not enough for 12 full cupcakes. Double at least, maybe even triple, to fill out a dozen cupcakes liners.

Checked them real quick at the 10 minute mark and decided to go ahead and finish out the full 18 minutes.

Toothpick test came out fine at 18 minutes but they seem a little off. They jiggle a bit like they’re undercooked but they are in fact cooked.

Final consensus is that they’re very okay. A little under flavored, pretty small but I think they’re cute. They legitimately feel like they have no love they’re just neutrally palatable in flavor and texture in every way.

  • Oh man a couple months ago I had to back off a topic because my therapist was obviously about to cry and just barely holding it together… I’m trans and was talking about my worries with how the US is going. They have trans kids and I think my concerns were hitting close to home for them. It was a difficult session for everyone x.x

  • I used to work for a university trying to modernize how people got student and financial data. Over half my work was playing politics rooting out people who refused to change and going above their head. We had one guy who didn’t want to update a script on his end to include the bare minimum amount of ‘security’: a hard coded plain text password. It took me months and I had to go to his office to update his script and he complained about it the entire four minutes it took
