I often wonder whether the type of “mutual respect” that modern movements teach is actually just a way to disable people from taking effective action, as everything is considered “too extreme” these days (at least for a normal person to do it).
Part of it yes, part of it no if everybody was either for or against a statement than nothing would get done besides by what which part was the biggest. If people are open for compromises you can get more done.
